my 2017 reads

There are a few HUGE releases I'm looking forward to in 2017 – A Court of Wings and Ruin, anyone? – but in January, I want to focus on reading three books I should've read in 2016 and, of course, the book that will come with my Book of the Month subscription!

Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham | I am SO excited to get started reading this one. I might even crack it open as soon as I finish typing up this post. The Gilmore Girls revival in November meant so much to me, and Lauren Graham is an inspiration to me for so many reasons. I can't wait to get a little bit more of her – because six hours of Gilmore Girls did NOT satisfy me – in this book. And it's small and light, so perfect to carry in my purse while I'm out and about!

A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin | This is one of the few books I actually own and have with me (not in my storage unit) and I have been "reading" it since May, at least. Probably earlier than that. I wanted to read all of the released A Song of Fire and Ice books in 2016, but 2016 was not having that ambitious goal. I pretty much stopped reading in September, and who knows the last time I picked this one up.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon | I need to order this one, and I'm not sure if I want a hardcover or an eBook. Everyone talked about this book in 2016, and I loved another book of Yoon's that I read in 2016 – Everything, Everything was amazing. I can't say no to it! And that cover!

The Most Dangerous Place on Earth by Lindsey Lee Johnson | This is my Book of the Month book for January, and I'm really excited about it. I hardly know anything about it except for the BOTM blurb on the website, and sometimes the books I know the least about end up being my favorites!

If I finish all four of the books above, I'm also hoping to tackle a few of these...
  • My Lady Jane
  • Six of Crows
  • The Underground Railroad
