what I'm reading in July

Tuesday, July 04, 2017
After I blew through so many books in June, I am ready to throw it down and read just as many, if not more, in July. But I gave myself a low goal – only six books this month – because I know that every time I think I have plenty of time to read, I actually have no time to read. Funny how that works.

I grabbed Wonder and Words in Deep Blue when I was at Island Bookstore in the Outer Banks during my blissfully relaxing vacation. I have to read Wonder before the movie comes out – I know it is going to be so, so, so good! And Words in Deep Blue spoke to me because it's set in a library and, of course, the cover is so very BLUE! I read the description of When Dimple Met Rishi about a month ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. And, of course, who can ignore a Sarah Dessen new release? I can't wait for it to be my turn to check out One and For All (if the library loves me!)

One of my monthly goals for July is to spend 30 minutes each day reading. It's something I've been striving to do every day this year, but I kind of fell off the wagon in June and was reading really inconsistently. It worked for me, of course, but taking 30 minutes each day to read brings me back to center and calms down a lot of the thoughts swirling in my mind.

And here are a few other June + July + August releases I've got my eye on...
The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue
• Song of the Current
• Coming Up for Air
• Wicked Like A Wildfire
• Dress Codes for Small Towns

What are you reading this month?
